Hydra started off as a vigilante in 2130, but only a few years later he started doing contracts for others. Whether it was bodyguard work for a high profile socialite, or a contract hit for a villain, Hydra did anything and everything to get his name out there. By 2150 he's almost entirely stopped taking jobs, and some people are even starting to forget he exists.

Hydra is one of the most infamous mercenaries currently alive as he's never failed a job. No one has ever fought Hydra and lived to tell the tale.
