Tristan Torne
Little is known of Torne’s life before his stunning artistic debut in 1920 when he shocked Berlin audiences with his one-man show “Mein Körper Zerrissen” (translation: My Body Torn) featuring razor blades and a theremin. He arrived in New Orleans from a reclusive sabbatical in Mexico to begin work on his latest piece that he plans to debut at the symposium. While living in the city, he captivates Irina Martin, who provides him access to local settings “for immersion.”
