Arbers

Description

The Arbers are the native wanders of the Arberian desert. They have walked its reaches for ages, and their treks have even led them towards the Kcalsbury Continent in ages past, leading to the creation of Kandesh (now Eowyr and Ahru) and the great expanses of The Horse-Lord Lands.

The desert-folk are hardy and insular, living amongst large families which rarely have contact with other groups. When they do, however, they tend to be quite friendly and eager to aid each other, sometimes trading off members in the process if one's expertise is needed. Today, many Arbers make regular trips to The Strand for the same purposes, as well as for broader trade and the acquisition of luxury resources. The Strand itself was originally settled by Arber tribes which gave up their wandering ways, and so they're often openly welcome into its cities' gates.

The Arbers and the government of Arberia have a neutral policy towards each other. The latter rarely gets involved in the former's affairs, and the former rather protests when the latter does (such as in the circumstance of crimes committed).
