Council of the Red Rose

The Council of the Red Rose is a militant and radical group, which advocates for the eradication of the nobility, the expropriation of the burgher's wealth, and self-rule for the people in a communal, self-subsistent society. It was largely irrelevant until its occupation of Castle Devan, the former home of the king of Devania. Since then, it has grown somewhat in membership, but still retains minor influence, and is largely ignored by the peasants who continue to farm on Devan's lands.
The Council of the Red Rose has its origins in country-side banditry, with most of its members being disillusioned criminals who turned their illicit activities towards revolution instead of robbery. This earns it little favor with Castle Devan's serfs, who view them as vagabonds and vigilantes that brought the nation to ruin, as they already enjoyed significant autonomy under the king's rule.
