Faenor
Description
Faenor, or the Plane of Life, carries within it the essence of life. It is filled with natural wonder, exotic flora, and an infinite number of species. Most within Faenor are not even bound to a singular form, shifting between species as they see fit. Those who live within Faenor are known as Faeries. Faeries are typically high-energy, chaotic, and joyous creatures, though they have a hard time understanding others' mortality and can go too far with their tricks. Faenor is dominated by the Wild Ways, which are amplified and more volatile by the effects of the spellwild. The effects of the Warp and radiation are absorbed by Faenor's inhabitants, who run off of magical energies. The Demi-Plane of Spirits exists within Faenor; it is a harmonious place of calm and introspection, and its existence causes the effects of the Fade, which drains the energies and emotions of Faeries it contacts. The Faeries have, on numerous times, attempted to destroy the Demi-Plane of Spirits, but its protectors have thus far prevailed.Pockets
Nevernear
Nevernear is a pocket of Faenor, named so because of the fact that one cannot be 'near' to it. When one approaches Nevernear from afar, they will feel as though they are walking forever without it coming even an inch closer. Then, suddenly, they shall be there, immediately in its bounds. Conversely, if one walks away from Nevernear, they shall walk forever without it growing even slightly more distant, until it is suddenly quite far away.Anarchaeia
Anarchaeia is a pocket where no governance exists, nor can it attempt to. Social checks made to impose rules or law upon another are not possible with Anarchaeia, and committing evil acts will rouse all others in the community to rise up against the offender, casting them out beyond its borders.Llellekjyma
Llellekjyma is the home of Llelles, a forest of immense size where the shapechangers reside, and where Llelles herself rules. Those who enter Llellekjyma without the ability to shapeshift will be subjected to the Thrum, a periodic beating hum that grows louder and faster until the sufferer finally breaks, losing all control of their thoughts and actions until they are turned into a lycanthropic creature, known as a karo.Everglow and Ouldama
Everglow is a mystical, vibrant forest absent of any greater power or ruler. Its beings coexist, hunt each other for subsistence, and revive when killed only to experience the world anew. Everglow is sometimes thought of as a "prototype" of Eashavar; though this label is quite untrue, Everglow is indeed very similar to The Rainy Country, though it does maintain its distinctly Faenor character. At the center of Everglow lies the expansive grove of Ouldama. Ouldama is the birthplace of the Elohim, overseen today by The Firstglow Dame. It is located inside of Everglow. The Dame continues the Elohim's influence upon Eashavar by sending her agents to grow the @Faer, who return to Ouldama after they die to serve alongside her forever. Those who enter Ouldama uninvited find themselves with a deep pull towards the location of the Dame, and a strong attraction to her upon sight or contact; they find their deaths soon after, becoming fertilizer for the pocket's thriving flora.Portafaerie
Portafaerie, or Port-of-Faerie, is a pocket that is filled all throughout with a vast sea. This sea holds all sorts of aquatic faeries and appears to be endless, with no land in sight. Rumors abound, however, about the mythical island of Port-of-Faerie, where faeries from all across Faenor go for revelry and celebration during important stretches of the year. The Demi-Plane of Spirits
The Demi-Plane of Spirits is the end-point of all souls, so long as they achieve inner peace and enlightenment. It is dominated by Fey, but accessible to all, and a special aspiration for the Spirit Elves. It radiates calm through the effects of the Fade, which is anti-thetical to the nature of Faeries, and they thus view it as a direct threat to their existences. The Fade
The Fade radiates from portals to the Demi-Plane of Spirits, and affects Faeries by gradually draining their energy. Faeries who surrender to the effects of the Fade lose their immortality, and descend to Shanor when they die, inhabiting such places as Immora. The Fade also curtails the spellwild, dampening its effects and making magic more difficult to use within its bounds.Spellwild
The spellwild is the opposite of the spellblight, and enhances the casting of any magic in an area impacted by it. Even the least magical of beings can make use of magic here, and for the skilled it becomes as easy as breathing.Astronomy
