Glancening

The Glancening is a tradition practiced by graduates of the Nexus Aurorealis, the most prominent magical college in Rhowyn and the world abroad. It involves a pilgrimage to Lone Peak Mountain, from which the graduates can peer upon the world as the Ones Above once did.
Typically, professors sponsor this pilgrimage and lead their students to the peak, but students may attend on their own, and typically do so without the brightest intentions in mind. A not-irrelevant number of graduates fall to their deaths due to drinking- and drug-related incidents on the mountain, and all manner of other heretical events occur due to celebrating mages abusing their access to the divine mountain.
