Gluttony

Description

Gluttony is the most common gambling game, because it's relatively basic, fast-paced, and typically low-stakes. All that's involved in a game of gluttony is each player having a set of dice - one d10, one d8, and one d6. A round of betting occurs between each dice roll, where players may put money on having the highest number, but may not reduce money from previous rounds. If a player does not place a minimum bet, then they are considered to capitulate, and can no longer play.   A d10 is first rolled and shown to every other player. A round of betting occurs, and the d8 is rolled but kept private. Another round of betting occurs, and the d6 is finally rolled, before a final round of betting and a reveal of all die results. The total amount of bet money is split among the people who have the highest number, unless somebody reaches a 21, in which case they get all of the money. If multiple people reach 21, then all of the money goes to the person who rolled the highest on their d6; in the case of a tie, it goes to the person who rolled the highest on their d8, then their d10. If a tie persists, players reroll all three dice and the money goes to the highest roller.   The game may be played with people keeping track of their own dice, but this is prone to cheating. Typically, when playing outside of a friend or family group, Gluttony is played with a screen. Players stand above their screen and roll their dice into it, but must keep their hands away at all times.
