Mixed-Bloods

All of the races of Eashavar are compatible for reproduction, resulting in a mish-mash of possible phenotypes and presentations. Those who do not match the typical appearance of a race are typically called mixed-bloods. A mixed-blood character is classified as Uncommon (You may play this race only after consulting with the DM. There may be limits on the number of players able to play this race in a single party.)

Race (5e)

When you choose to play a mixed-blood, you should choose one racial from each parent-race. Certain races have special rules for tackling mixed-blood characters, in which case the prior rule should be waived for what is stated under the respective races' stat block.

Versatile Heritage (PF2e)

Before making a mixed-blood, note the following:
  • You can play a character of mixed ancestry or heritage without making use of the Mixed-Blood mechanics. In such a case, you should take the primary ancestry you appear as, and you are free to take any of its heritages, so that mechanically you are just that ancestry. You can still adopt other races' appearance for aesthetic purposes, it will just have no mechanical impact. Your primary ancestry should be the one that is dominant in your apperance in most cases.
  • You can only be a combination of up to two ancestries. Your appearance may carry undertones of other ancestries, but they will have no mechanical effect. See the first bullet point.
  • In some cases, it might make sense to use a combination of two versatile heritages instead of two ancestries. This signifies that your original ancestry has been overshadowed by the influence of the versatile heritages you have selected. Doing this bumps up the rarity of your Mixed-Blood character to Rare (You may play this race only after consulting with the DM. There may be limits on the number of players able to play races of this category in a single party.)

Versatile Heritage
You bear ancestral ties to more than one of Eashavar's prolific races. Choose another ancestry. You can select ancestry feats from the ancestry you chose, in addition to your character’s own ancestry. You add the trait corresponding to that ancestry, in addition to your primary ancestry.   In certain cases, you may be able to be mixed between two versatile heritages. Typically, the way to do this is to choose the Human ancestry, but you lose the ability to take any Human ancestry feats. This option must always be discussed with your DM.
