Paradise Monastery (/Ong-shun-wee/)
Paradise Monastery is the colloquial and world-renowned name for the Aang-Shan-Ui Monastery, the training place of the monks of nature in Kai'Rin. The monastery itself is located high in the eastern-most Xan-Qing Slopes, overlooking the rainforest of Paradisium, which is where its more common name comes from.
Aang-Shan-Ui's monks differ from the rest of Kai'Rin's monasteries because they reject the notion of isolation and meditation. Instead, they go out directly into the rainforest, feeding and caring for its wild animals, while using their abilities to protect themselves without causing harm. This "communion" gives them a connection to nature which is unrivalled, and the Aang-Shan-Ui believe that this is the proper way to achieve access to the Demi-Plane of Spirits (rather than self-reflection). Rumors allege the Aang-Shan-Ui to be shapeshifters and lycanthropes; really, though, they're more aptly considered to be one of the world's most unique Druidic Circles.
