Saltwastes

The Saltwastes dot the Silent Wastes of Arberia. They are vast deposits of salt which look like ponds and lakes from afar due to the heat, and have accumulated skeletons of men and critters throughout the centuries. The Saltwastes are thus a grim sight and they have historically been avoided, though an expansion in the world's demand for salt has brought more and more traders deeper into this deathly territory. The Silent Wastes are associated with Rieloch, and any who die there are considered to have received their last rites out of the war-god's pity.
