Sea of Blight

The Sea of Blight is one of tainted, black waters. Despite its status as a sea, waves rarely form upon Blight's surface, and instead the water bubbles as if something breathes beneath its surface. Actually, these bubbles hide volcanic activity deep beneath the water, and the surface-level temperatures of the sea near them can reach near boiling. While the Sea of Blight is often thought of as cursed because of its adjacency to the lands of Sylla, Blight's inhospitability to sailors predates the rise of the dhampirs, and it is merely naturally hazardous.
Despite its clear dangers, the Sea of Blight is the most popular crossing point for those who attempt to reach The Rainy Country during the times of year when its passages are flooded. Few are successful.
