Sea of Mists

The Sea of Mists spans north of the Kcalsbury Continent and Arberia, and it is one of the most dangerous seas in the world. This is primarily because gales from The Windy Country blow across its waters, generating waves a hundred feet high and wide-spanning storms. These phenomena batter the northern coasts of the Kcalsbury Continent, but they typically stray northward beyond High Bay, making the bulk of the coast of Arberia relatively safe. Still, going too far from the coast is inviting the danger of the sea.
Rumors abound about what lies beyond the Sea of Mists. It has long been proposed as a method of investigating or navigating beyond the Windy Country, though no successful expedition has to this day been launched. Other explorers have suggested northward exploration may be possible if an expedition is timed well enough to avoid the worst of the storms, and islands and nations beyond the sea have been rumored of for time immemorial. Again, though - no successful expeditions have been launched. Many sailors view the Sea of Mists as a living being, consciously preventing travel to those who'd dare to stray too far.
