Sea of Sands
The Sea of Sands is a calm stretch of ocean off the southern coast of Arberia. While its bounds are not well-defined, most use its name to refer to the stretch of water which serves as a major trade route between the Kcalsbury Continent and Pharos; specifically, the waters bounded by the northwestern Protectorate-Commonwealth, Arberia, Barisea, and southwestern Montbay.
The Sea of Sands is known for its low waves and rare storms, though this reputation wavers towards its southern boundary where the volatile Sea of Waves mixes its currents with that of the Sands. Nonetheless, the Sea of Sands' north is bounded by the coastal Arberian desert, and the hillsides of Norenth rarely receive much rainfall either. This is largely the reason why the Sea of Sands became such a prominent trade route, and why colonial expeditions to southern Arberia faced more success at taming the barrens there than Arberia's own government, separated from the coast by hundreds of miles of deadly sands.
