The Rat and Wheel

The Rat and Wheel is a low-end inn, famous among adventurers in Vaelhart, and found in the city's 10th Circle, in the Upper Industrial district. Despite a burst in popularity, the inn's owner, Gottwald Hurst, has taken absolutely no moves to increase its quality, viewing its run-down nature as part of its charms. In the past, he used to call it a "taste of Commonwealth culture," though the Just Guard warned him against it, after complaints of offense. The growth in patrons has driven down the price of ale, however, which can be fetched at a mere two copper per mug.
On an average night, the inn has upwards of twenty patrons. It's a popular spot for the city's mercenary guild, and full of rumors and leads as a result - so long as you can beat talkative guild members to claiming a reward.
