The Crestfall Dominion is the term for the ascension Speaker Rodger Crestfall to near-absolute power in Lasthold.

Crestfall had led a coalition of Isolationists for four years before the so-called Dominion, though he had gradually grown in power during that time. Crestfall ascended to power when he purged the Council Congress of Internationalist members, and began a crackdown on foreign institutions within the nation's borders.   This is often considered the beginning of Lasthold as a well-defined and distinct state.
