The Syllan Civil War, sometimes known as the Syllan Troubles, was a time of great tension between the nobles of the former kingdom of Sylla and their peasantry.
The Troubles took a significant downturn with the return of Lord Maraban Dragomir of Visenhaid from the West Marches, where he had led an expedition years prior. Lord Dragomir returned with the creature Bellus Vrakis, who expertly wielded necromancy, and quickly turned the war onto his side. It culminated in The Panic, where hundreds of nobles defected to Dragomir's side in exchange for the promise of immortality and an end to the threat of revolution, all within the span of a week.
