The Red Riot

Civil action

1248

Unrest erupted in Trinea, then-owned by Vestal but with a significant Tiefling minority, flared as a result of the nation's so-called Indebtitude law.

This law decreed enslavement legal for the purpose of debt collection, and was often accompanied by extraordinary taxes on minorities when rulers needed a reliable workforce. Briefly, the capital of the region was seized by Tiefling insurgents, before the Vestali army cracked down and executed all suspected agitators without trial.
