The Panic marked the beginning of the end of The Syllan Troubles, as the creature Bellus Vrakis offered immortality and peace to the embattled Syllan nobles, who were largely eager to take up the deal. Within the span of mere weeks, the majority of the Syllan nobility defected from their efforts to hold their lands and pledged fealty to Lord Dragomir, causing the functional collapse of the Syllan state and military.
