Following the independence of Fyra, the nation experienced an economic revolution that dramatically increased its standard of living and access to luxuries. This was largely as a result of few trade restrictions, minimal tariffs, and the lack of an entrenched noble class which permitted merchants to thrive.

The Fyran Economic Miracle is, in many ways, the source of Fyra's national identity. Fyrans live for capitalism, and they seek to advocate for the spread of free trade and open markets wherever they can. This also led to the creation of the Free Trade Forum
