After a long period of decline, and defeat in the Northern Wars, Kandesh was destined for collapse. Ahru and Eowyr emerge from this destiny.
This was because the nation's south already had a large population of Fey and Arberian expatriates which were long unrepresented, while the north had a regressive and decadent nobility that held on with a tight grip.
