Personal history
She grew up in a commune-village of Wallerdale, founded by an old adventuring party, and funded largely with her father's family fortune. She learned a little bit of everything from the old adventurers (including her Wizard mother and Ranger father), and learned the Tinker trade from her Gnomish "uncle".
Her father's death led to some inheritance squabbles with his other family over Wallerdale, culminating in the attempted assassination of Casey and her mother. Following this, it seemed like a good time for Casey to leave Wallerdale and pursue her own career and adventures.
She does not generally tell people her family name.

Family Ties
Her mother Azalea, an Elven Wizard, still lives in Wallerdale. She considers most of the village of Wallerdale to be family, in particular her Gnomish "uncle" Briybar Tessig-Rulmond, who was the Master Tinkerer who she apprenticed under. She also has various cousins and half siblings from her Father's family whom she has rarely met and is on less than good terms with, what with all the attempted assassination.

Religious Views
Though somewhat reverent as a matter of politeness (and because she grew up around a powerful Cleric), she has never taken religion very seriously. Because of this, she ironically feels some devotion to The Wanderer and similar gods who also don't take religion very seriously.
She recently had some odd visions of The Wanderer that lead her to feel a sort of inexplicable sisterly relationship with the goddess.
