Cheriborne

Cheriborne is a village of about 500 located along the north bank of the river that runs west of Vareholm and beyond Gilnaith. The population is mostly Dwarves, though Humans, Halflings, and Rock Gnomes are also common.

A very military-minded village, the ruling council is made up of six Captains, with a General as head-of-state. The current General - as well as the first and only General in Cheriborne's ~5 year history - is Morkral Battlehammer; a middle-aged Dwarven gentleman. He and the rest of the Council of Captains are generally well-regarded among the population.

Cheriborne's most interesting export is cherries! Mostly normal ones, but a few arborists in town have learned the secret of cultivating and harvesting especially healthful cherries that they have dubbed "Goodcherries." You know, like goodberries!

The lair of the shadow dragon Cyrvyntyn lies just to the south of Cheriborne. The village and dragon currently have a non-aggressive relationship.
