Legend Lore: El-Ren

Anyone who is unlucky to have stepped on the shores of Idriell already knows “El-Ren”. Despite having never seen the mythical figure before, visitors claim to have known it since childhood. Names are made up and believed to be universally known. But what is called “Luna, the second Moon” or “El-Ren, the Distant One” is no inanimate satellite.

Long ago, after digging through the ruins and forgotten sites of those that preceded them, the Oshran Empire found something utterly alien. An incomprehensible series of texts and instructions to usher “El-Ren” into the Material Plane. Those in the presence of the books were compelled, charmed, into doing it's bidding.

It's unclear what motivates this ancient being, but considering the widespread devastation that followed it's arrival, it can't be good.
