Corona is the immortal Celestial Lion that holds vigil over the star closest to the Material Plane, most commonly known as The Sun, and rarely known as Sol on other planes. Unlike other religions that treat deities as controlling or influencing the sun and its path through the sky, the Order of the Eternal Light believes the Sun itself to be deific.
Corona has cultivated 8 Sargassos that closely orbit the Sun; colossal dead-magic zones that move around the star, preventing Spelljammers from sailing too close to the celestial body. In kind, followers of the Order of the Eternal Light follow the 8 virtues that best represent the Sun; Hope, Inspiration, Justice, Life, Order, Reason, Station, and Wisdom.
In addition, Corona serves as the guardian of the Sun, keeping watch over the countless portals on its surface, ensuring only those naturally capable of withstanding the Sun's incredible heat could venture there - as no magical or scientific methods of withstanding heat were effective.
