“I wish people would listen to me.”
“Then perhaps you should tell a more compelling story.”
Kalamar Malisius was a proud mother within the Oshran Empire, her High Elven blood went back generations. Her daughter, Kymil, and granddaughter Kyas were all exceptionally charismatic people, working within the journalistic institutions of the Empire to spread news and research breakthroughs. However, the people had begun to fall to religious indoctrination, speaking of a moon, trapped in the sky, a cleansing knight who wanted to rid the world of evil, of a demon who took on the forms of your friends and family. No matter how much Kalamar tried, no one would listen to her words of wisdom.
Kalamar spoke to her supervisor, Pikyr, about how she could better reach the people. Her manager knew of a story that might.. Spark some controversy. When Kalamar began speaking the evils of El-Ren, riots broke out across the Empire. Men and Women fought against the establishment for fear of corruption, and the Empire fought back. It was violent. And bloody. Kalamar couldn’t stop. The people needed to know what had happened. She never realised it was Pikyr who had created these problems, and Pikyr who caused the Civil War that tore the Empire apart.
