Legend Lore: Silvaria Brightwood, the Ardent Link

Silvaria Brightwood was once the advisor to King Rhalyf, the second and final king of the Oshran Empire. Where Rhalyf often showed temperance, Silvaria was the voice of action - who desired swift and violent action towards those who showed disrespect. Constantly, Silvaria was denied vengeance, and quickly grew jaded and bitter. Silvaria saw time and time again, the evil of man, the repeat offenses of the men who lived hundreds of years. He spoke to his confidant, Pikyr the Cunning, lamenting that he wanted to ‘burn it all down’. His friend laughed, and introduced Silvaria to a Knight of Broiling Shadow and Madness; Lord Tharizdun. Silvaria learnt from his Lord that the world was an impure place, that ethereal Chains bound mortals, and that he was destined to break those chains.
Though Silvaria had detractors, he was able to sire a son, Selval Brightwood - and imbued on him the values he had learned from Lord Tharizdun. When Lord Tharizdun took Selval as a Squire, the title of Ardent Link passed to him, and Selval began the campaign of war against existence.
Silvaria died after killing Iolas Brywynn, but was cut down before he was able to kill Rhalyf Brywynn. The Oshran Court claimed his soul for the crime of Regicide.
