Pen and Parchment Scriptorium

The Scriptorium is a stone hall with vaulted arches, and high windows to let in lots of daylight. The Entryway is inscribed with the logo of The Grand Library of Calstona, and a small shrine to Ioun and other gods of Knowledge sits by the door. Multiple writing desks are arranged across the floor, and the walls are lined with bookshelves.
Sharing the large vaulted-ceiling room is a bookbinder shop, with a simple storefront at one end.
Also sharing the space is The Alcove, a small wooden room separated from the main hall by a heavy dark wood door. Inside is a sizable stone fireplace and a wooden counter by the door covered with various games, tobacco products, baked goods, and mugs ready to be filled with coffee, tea, or wine. The center of the room is occupied by large, comfortable leather chairs in a rough circle with a few coffee tables and end tables. Comfortably the room can fit ~10 people.
Lizzek, or Liz, is a 5’4” Lizardfolk woman who helps manage the Scriptorium and Library. She has a crest on her head with two, short, orange horns, and a similar horn on her nose. She wears simple hide and cotton clothing. She tends to be very quiet. The edges of her beak-like mouth tend to curl upward in a semi-permanent smile.
