The followers of the God of Beauty and Love are many, and all types of races call to him in the heat of passion. Likewise many professions call upon his grace when they look to find that special someone, and bards are his favorite pets in this world. His flock often appear at weddings, parties, and any excuse to look at anything beautiful
History
The Cult of Beautiful Song, devoted to Ollen, God of Beauty and Love, was created right when the newly come refugees started settling down and looked to each other once more in love and passion. The Priests that came over waited until civilization had settled in a bit, right around 28 SR, then pushed for ceremonies and betrothals anew. This pleased their God and kick started the races once more. They preached love and beauty and it spread like wild fire through the cities and towns newly created.
Divine Origins
The origin of the Cult of Beauty and Song is embedded in stories and poems. Started by three bards that choose to enter into the faith, they started life over again as acolytes and spread the word of beauty through song. This was widely popular with the people and even with the God, who appeared to the three and gave his approval. In recent decades the Bard is attached to the Church of Ollen and is always welcomed in their doors.
Tenets of Faith
The Tenants of Ollen's faith are very simple, although he is a very impulsive God. He implores his followers to:
- Admire everything beautiful.
- Never destroy something you can preserve.
- Make sure love has a chance to bloom in all things.
- Protect the love of all beings, even at the cost of your life.
Worship
The everyday people worship Ollen loud and clear, shouting his name at gatherings as a blessing to those in love. He is called upon for long sought after love, whispered in the dark for passion with loved ones, and begged for when someone needs inspiration in art. His prayers are heard more in the early hours of sunrise.

Priesthood
The Church is made up of different titles and positions throughout the land, though everyone begins as an acolyte. The acolytes are found in every place of worship from the smallest shrine to the largest church. The acolytes keep the lights on and the doors ready to welcome any who need help. The Heartsingers are full workers of miracles and after a lifetime of service they can attain the title of Adonis. The title of Adonis is held by only 3 people at one time, each roaming the land seeking out stories of valor and love to sing about and write stories of.
Granted Divine Powers
Ollen grants prayers to his loyal Heartsingers (acolytes cannot cast prayers). These prayers can take the form of anything the Priest needs at the moment, from creating a beautiful statue to calling upon a warm circle of love to soothe their enemies. Below is a quick list of just some of the Prayers that have been recorded in the history books:
- Create Beauty - Creates a thing of beauty for all to admire (statues, paintings, etc...)
- Ward against Harm- throw up a shield that protects from harm and preserves life.
- Light of Love - Call upon an aura of love to calm enemies and make them slumber peacefully.
- Shield blessing - This prayer makes the armor or shields touched harder and better able to protect those who wield them.
