Telepathy

The Psion can read/sense another person's emotions, communicate with them mentally and/or affect their thoughts. Telepathy falls into two categories: Telepathic Communication, which is the ability to transmit information from one mind to another, and Telepathic Perception, which is the ability to receive information from another mind. There is two levels to this power; Minor and Major

Minor

The minor power allows the Psion to look at someone and 'read' their emotional state by sensing slight brain waves. This isn't Mind reading per se, but just a general well being like angry/sad/happy/etc.. They can speak mind to mind with anyone that they can see, without the barrier of language, and receive communication back the same way without that person being a Psion, as long as contact is held.

Major

The Major ability of the Telepathy power is just as frightening as some of the stories about Mind Control. They have the above abilities as well as the ability to influence the base emotions of the subject, changing happy to sad, or scared to violent. The most powerful Psions can turn a quiet bar into a battlefield.

Other Defenses

The other defenses against the Psion's Telepathy is the Psion's Mind Shielding, or the Mage's ether shields that they can erect. These stop the Psion from being able to reach the mind to speak and influence emotions and helps the casters fend off the attack
