The Battle of Albrook
The Battle of Albrook was a turning point in the 100 year long Great War. The Psions had declared independence with this ambush and after this they were hunted down and eliminated. The survival of the village was miraculous considering the amount of damage that only three Psion's caused. The battle was short, lasting only a day, and the survivors took the people from the village after and relocated them until reinforcements could arrive.
Ambush
Albrook was a staging site for the Alliance and was there to stop a rumored advance party of Clockwork assassin's. In the night the three Psions they had brought turned and attacked the resting elven/human alliance, slaying them in their sleep. Their powers ripped through the tents with waves of force and caused the sentries great pain when they rushed to their defense. In minutes the Alliance was reeling, trying to regroup and protect the villagers, losing men faster than the Magus's could erect walls of earth and air to try and stop them.Savior of Albrook
The Archmagus in charge of the contingent, Salen Alasari, was the banner that the Alliance rallied to. Calling upon forces of nature to entangle the Psions, and mixing the earth with moisture to create a field of mud to protect the advancing Psions, he remained in the front of the conflict, trying element after element to stop the mind killers. Taking heavy losses, he finally called upon air and ether to create a cloud that would dampen their minds, making their powers ineffective while inside of it. The elven warriors rushed into the could, fighting the Psions and slaying them before the cloud dissipated. by Anadia-Chan

I've never seen anything more comforting and horrible at the same time, as I witnessed that day. To watch that crimson cloud dissipate...to see the bodies it left behind. I didn't know whether to cheer or cry — Anaryl'ian Elven magus
