The Lost Tower

Written by Salen

This dark lonely tower, located on the edge of the realm of Reverie, is a travesty of sadness. Centuries ago it was the abode of the Larin, a race of faeries with raven wings that died out when their nation was taken to this desolate realm. The tower is now the home to the Ravenlord and is the meeting place of the Shadow Court. It is surrounded by a dark lake that runs into a lazy river and its surrounding trees are withering away like the faeries that built this structure.

Layout

Lake of Sorrow

This shallow, five foot deep, lake is filled with dark, fresh, water. The magic that keeps the tower and grounds looking clean and fresh also keeps the water from getting stagnant, even as the trees around this lake wither and die. The water of the lake runs down a small waterfall into a lazy river that winds away into the realm and disappears.

Ante-Chamber

Past the dark wooden door lies the comfortable greeting room. Couches and chairs line this dimly lit room and the hearth burns with a blue flame.

Hallway

The small hallway that leads east and west out of the Ante-chamber, leads to the stairs and armory. A nice glass gallery holds a beautiful suit of bark armor, and a chest for gems.

Kitchen

This huge room has a huge storage room off of it for dried goods and barrels of ale. There is also a wine cellar and a table with a small black cloth.

Conference room

This immense room is where the court often relaxes and even trains when visiting the tower. A great fire place with a full mantle, over which hangs the legendary sword Darkgrace blesses the room, as do several tables to sit around.

Guest rooms, small

These two rooms are where the Rightwing and Leftwing stay when they are at the tower. These rooms have most of the same furnishings that any room will have. Beds, couches, etc...

Armory

This room holds dozens of faerie weapons, some of quite ancient. Above the door hangs an exquisite horn, with the engravings of tiny faeries in flight. Most normal weapons can be found here, and even some exotic ones not readily seen.

Vault

This iron bound, door leads to the towers vault. In here are kept items that need to be locked away from the eyes of faeries. The room is strewn with discarded swords laying about the floor, and three pillars stand in the middle of this seemingly messy room. Each pillar holds a weapon that is anathema to faerie kind. These weapons are all made of cold wrought Iron and are made in the shape of daggers. Each dagger has a name and a purpose, and on the day that they finally go after the Queen herself, they will be given to specific members of the court.

Library

This large, curved, room takes up half of the fourth floor and has tons of books that cover a wide variety of poisons and remedies. Books on how to deal with elves and other things can be found here, as well as books on how the goblins came to be.

Master bedroom

This room covers the other half of the fourth floor, and is where Larsin rests when not plotting the elves demise. Hundreds of bottles line the shelves, as does artwork from various faerie painters. The solid oaken writing desk sits in the corner and is where the Ravenlord plans his ambushes and plots his conspiracies.

Purpose / Function

The Tower is used primarily as a base of operations for the Shadow Court. They meet here discreetly and plots the downfall of the races of Tamia.

Architecture

The tower is made in the style of twisted faeries, popular among the Korreds and darker faeries.

Faergh, Ceighliegh, and Dralnae.

These three daggers are made of cold wrought iron and enspelled to deal heavy damage to fae creatures. If wielded by fae creatures to kill other fae, then they can handle the weapons safely, as long as the death of a fae creature happens within the next moon rise. They are very powerful weapons, and if they ever got into the hands of the other races, it would be disastrous to the faerie realm.
