The Newfound Few S13: Showstoppers

General Summary

Finishing up their time at the Gala of Gales, The Newfound Few takes full advantage of their last bit of relaxation time. Some chose to shop, some chose to pursue some hobbies, and others changed up their look. The party then decided to attend a concert that is meant to close out the Gala of Gales, which features prominent music groups and artists both from around the country as well as from the local bard college. A couple of the party noticed some mysterious characters roaming around the area before the concert amongst the many people gathering from all over Conatriium for the concert.
During the second to last performance, the band that was on stage was readying to perform an encore, right as the lead singer got struck in the back of the neck by some sort of spine. Several more spines shot out, before a large Blood Brooder and some Blood Bulbs emerged from back stage, and panic broke out amongst the crowd as people were desperately attempting to flee. The Newfound Few sprung into action to combat the threat, joined by Lord Loredana who emerged from the stirring crowd.
As the Blood Brood was eliminated, the party had a discussion with Lord Loredana about what had just occurred. It was revealed by Loredana that other more disastrous events have taken place 10 years ago, both of which had sightings of Dervere before the disaster, and Darius afterwards. They specify two such disasters from ten years ago; the falling of a village up in Blythedale, as well as the explosion of a factory down in Slouburne. After a bit of further discussion, the party decides to retire for the night.
However, Lidda receives a visitor in the night. Zirtia, a tall, menacing lizardfolk, comes to her door claiming he recognizes her, and informing her that she has a bounty on her head. After a tense conversation in the doorway, Zirtia leaves for the night. In the morning, Theo reveals that she took some papers off of Zirtia, which seems to imply that he had taken out a bounty on one of the people of interest the group were currently pursuing, Dervere Vardon. After a brief chat, some breakfast, and a farewell from Freya the tavernkeeper, and Lord Loredana Mora, the group hit the road. Heading eastwards, the group have a peaceful five day journey reaching the town of Avaglade.
