The Newfound Few S14: Reunions

General Summary

Upon their arrival in lavish city of Avaglade, The Newfound Few decide to stay a bit and rest before carrying on with their journey. While looking around for a place to stay, Rah encounters two people he already knows, one of which was a mysterious cloaked figure who offered the group to stay with her for the night, if they were willing to walk her through the forest.
The party agreed to escort the woman to her home and got to talking about her and her past. About halfway there, the group gets ambushed by a goblin horde, which seemed set on The Newfound Few's company. A fight ensues, and it's revealed that the woman being escorted is able to petrify those that meet her gaze. Afterwards, conversation continues and the woman, named Petra Medusa, explains that she used to be a human with normal hair and normal vision. However, a group of her former friends were jealous of her magic potential and hexed her to never be able to look anyone in the eyes again. After a bit more discussion, the party comes to understand that their previous encounter with the Green Hag might be related to Petra's curse.
As The Newfound Few settles in to bed, Rah awakes partway through the night and peers out the window. As he looks, he sees a figure pulling itself out of the river. Looking at the figures clothes and build, Rah recognized it as Viktor who attacked Rah and Norovar back in a previous town. Having lost his face and his arm, he slowly shambled from the river up to the cottage in which the party was staying. From the other side of the door, terror knocks.
