Linos - god of darkness and crime
god of darkness and crime Linos (a.k.a. the dark brother)
Alongside Xelene, Linos was one of the first creations by Gretris. He represents the darkness and shadows that are cast by the light, Xelene sheds. Due to these properties he's valued by those who take advantage out of the shadows like thieves and assassins. Nonetheless he's often depicted as a fair judge who refrains from taking sides, despite his rather dark appearance. Pictures often portray him as a dark, cloaked humanoid figure with no face.
Divine Domains
Linos is associated with shadows, darkness, thieves and assassins, making his domain mainly trickery.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
His symbol is an eye being the center of a black sun. His worshippers often wear black and masks to hide their faces, which often makes it hard to tell an assassin who doesn't directly worship Linos apart from one who does. Though delving into the shadows and using their advantage automatically makes one take advantage of and appreciate the gift of Linos.
Tenets of Faith
Wherever there is light there must be shadows. There can't be good without bad. Don't judge from appearance. The shadows are your best alie. They provide protection and cover, yet also danger.
Holidays
The longest of nights in the year is when the people celebrate "The eternal night". It's often a feast within clans and families where you're only allowed to light one singular fire. It's a holiday to prove trust and appreciate how darkness and light go side by side.
