Ebberun - Planar Crossroads

Cataclysmic battles between daemons and gods forced a once normal Faerun to erupt into a land of immense chaos. Beasts and races of all types entered through exposed portals. Waves of magical energy battered the landscape, and wars reshaped the land masses. Colossal weapons tore through natural resources, and for a long time, the planet known as Faerun remained a dead man's zone of sudden, sporadic battles.   Occupants came and left. Leaders shifted hands so often that constant change became the new normal. Whatever established settlements there were became closed, iron clad fortresses that withstood harsh warp winds or collapsed into wandering bands of adventurers, raiders, and gypsies.   Despite its constant struggle for survival, life does thrive. In this planar crossroad, fights rage on. Heroes are forged in its turmoil and turn tides long enough to make a difference, to make sizeable dents to reshaping a better world.
