Forest of Spirits

Location

The Forest of Spirits (Vandor Ath Teu), is situated in the eastern part of Cadalyn, east of the Lake of Trials.

History & Lore

The Forest of Spirits is a luscious forest, teeming with wildlife, magic and even some Fey. It is said that a druidic place of power can be found in the centre of the forest. This could, however, never be confirmed by reliable sources. Regardless, even people with little to no affinity for magic can tell that the forest houses powerful magics.

Adventurers and wanderers should be aware that venturing into the forest is no more dangerous than venturing into a regular forest - as long as one causes no unnecessary harm to it or its inhabitants. That is, if you believe the fancies of the people living in the nearby villages. There supposedly have been poachers venturing into the forest, only to never be seen again. A few years back, there even was a story about a greedy lumberjack going mad, swearing the trees were talking and moving, trying to kill him. And really, that's probably all it was - just a story, fabricated by parents to get their kids to behave.
If you ask me, of course, the more likely explanation would be that the poachers simply fell prey to one the many predators prowling the forest and as for the lumberjack, if he ever existed - why, he probably just picked up the wrong kind of mushroom...
