Humbus Bumbus

Humbus Bumbus is a changeling sorcerer.
Humbus was always concerned with the opinions of her peers. Many of her friends growing up became artificers, wizards, or other types of arcane practitioners, while Humbus couldn't seem to grasp such concepts in her schooling. She had always been a bigger fan of the arts, occupying her time with screenplays or songwriting. She felt left out seeing all of her friends having fun together casting spells and playing with magic.
One day, she heard whispers of a powerful artifact that, if used correctly, could grant the wielder untold magical ability. Rumor had it that this artifact wasn't even far away - only a few miles from her hometown in some forgotten ruins. Humbus couldn't resist the opportunity to become the coolest kid in her friend group, and set out to find this artifact and harness its power.
Despite warnings to avoid going there, Humbus made her way to the ancient place. Surprisingly, she met little-to-no resistance and quickly found the runic tablet. Once in her hands, she understood the word inscribed upon its face and spoke it.
Immediately, she was thrown across the room, crashing into a far wall. Her body began to thrum with arcane energy, her skin glowing brighter and brighter. Humbus could hardly contain her excitement. Unfortunately, because she had never been able to grasp the concepts required to control magic, the magic began to control her. She had achieved her goal of gaining arcane ability, but the cost was that she could seldom control the expression of her innate power.
When she returned home, she attempted to show off her new powers to her friends. In that moment, her wild magic surged, injuring several of them. Humiliated and cast out by her peers, Humbus Bumbus abandoned her home and journeyed to Sharn in an attempt to develop her abilities and, ultimately, make new friends.
