Session 9

After the players return to Salvation Outpost they have a period of downtime over which occurs the holiday of Rebirth Eve, a flamic festival, which takes the form of a spiritual vigil and celebrates the winter solstice. Also the door of All Along, The Watchtower is repaired.
Galvyn mostly kept up provisions, making friends with Erix Thorn, of note in the shop was a Circlet of Blasting on lay-away. Galvyn otherwise helped Sheriff with evidence regarding Mauriana Teskelyndros or reinvestigating the tunnel below Big Moe.
Stelly and Kalli were full PDA dating at this point, both attending secret services at the Traveler Shrine where Stelly performs music for rituals.
C-3PO and Sheriff spend much of their time together, often "grinding gears" as they say. C-3PO also made a magical spice bag for Boklo the chef of the party.
Boklo happy to receive the magical spice bag from C-3PO, he put it to work by helping out at The Salvation Hotel and wrote to his grandmother for the holiday.
Xcarface Linx grappled with horrible hallucinations and possibly old memories as a result of exposure to that scream from the severed head.. After that had passed Slingblade took Xcarface to see a play in town, during which they learned about a trap door for the stage.
Pascale d'Orien helped at the church for the holiday, but fought nightmares of a young dwarf woman being abused by the Boromar Clan in Sharn.. To help sleep and think on the dreams he rode the Lightning Rail train for free as a d'Orion and even pushed some of the workers to stop hoarding oil in the rail shed and space out the storage in case of a fire.
Cosmo Drop also celebrated the holiday and shared the Moonspeakers perspective on the Daelkyr corruption causing were-curses. Keeping up on herbalism supplies from the apothecary Cosmo noticed a good stock of vials, potions, and oils.
The players also meet Rigaldo de la Rosa who was sent to meet Kalli Arlan. Kalli takes Stelly and Rigaldo to the Traveler Shrine, Rigaldo accepts the gift from the alter after offering himself to the entity speaking through it into his mind...
Later the party was gathered at The Gray Beyond awaiting a correspondent from their patron, The 12, to interview Rigaldo de la Rosa and see if he can join the team. As well as to see if the party has earned a higher status of regard for their work obtaining The Oracle of War.
After which The Ashhounds attacked the party inside the tavern! The fought to the death expecting resurrections.
The party raced to the marketplace to try and catch Irullan Karnach but just after arriving the whole outpost heard loudly the threats of an assassin squad to kill someone every ten minutes if the The Oracle of War was not brought forward- they started by dropping the corpse of Sheriff on the lightning rail platform.
They party investigated The Salvation Hotel first along with the Baker. Ambushed by a helmed horror and facing an ogre the party was able to only encounter these 2 at a time. They grabbed the circlet from the provisioner and headed to the Tin-Pot tavern since they had been given a tip about a healing brew there. Onward to the Traveler Shrine the party met Whist who offered to bait an assassin and create a surprise attack.
This lured out an Iron Cobra that didn't last a round, especially to a Boklo Bugbear Surprise Critical!

Welcome to Eberron!

Eberron embraces swashbuckling action and pulp adventure while adding a layer of noir intrigue. Daring heroes battle villains in high-stakes instances of over-the-top action, dealing with narrow escapes and ominous mysteries that threaten the world’s safety. But stories don’t always end well, villains sometimes succeed, and there isn’t a perfect answer to every problem. Magic is common, and weaved through everyday life. Blacksmiths use mending for minor repairs, Continual flame lamps light the streets, and bound elementals power lightning rails and airships. Magic is also harnessed for power, greed, and corruption. Eberron a world painted in shades of grey, where both heroes and villains come in all races, classes, shapes and sizes. It’s just as likely that the innkeeping gnome next door is an evil assassin and the tribal orc in the swamp is a holy druidic guardian. A metallic dragon is just as likely as a red one to fall under evil’s influence and a coven of hags brings more stability to a region, instead of chaos. Not even religion is black and white: the gods don’t manifest physically, and wielding divine magic to keep evil at bay requires faith in the unseen.

The Last War

The Last War ravaged the continent of Khorvaire, turned allies into enemies and destroyed an entire nation. It began when the once-unified kingdom of Galifar split into The Five Nations, eventually spawning a bitter struggle for continental control. It was a century marked by shifting alliances, and periods of cold-war stalemates and intense battles and death. The grueling conflict left deep scars on the land and the people, but was nothing compared to The Mourning. The nation of Cyre was suddenly hit by a holocaust of grey fog and twisted magic. The mist spread quickly until it stopped exactly at the edge of the Cryan border. More than a million died in that single Day of Mourning. No one knows what caused the mourning, or how to stop it from happening again; Fear brought the nations to the negotiating table and a treaty was finally signed. Two years have passed, the peace is tenuous, and the continent is more divided than before the war. Although many celebrated the end of the war, there was no winner and control of the continent is still unsettled. People optimistically refer to it as “The Last War”, but distrust between nations continues to rise and most believe that it’s only a matter of time until conflict begins again. Meanwhile, refugees from the defunct Cyre are without a home, and the war’s end has left the Warforged (sentient metal humanoids created for war) without a purpose. While others struggle to survive, the Dragonmarked dynasties emerged from the war even stronger, more powerful than any nation. Through it all, the forces of good struggle to contain the forces of evil that threaten to break its chains.
