Skeleton Crime Syndicate

The Mourning eliminated millions of lives, destroyed an entire country, and brought a century-long war to a grudging conclusion. In a cruel twist of irony, it also gave rise to new creations, most of them twisted, deformed, and horrid to behold. One of the more genial creations was a new race of skeletons, more sentient and intelligent than their mindless undead counterparts.
Those that managed to escape the horrible hellscape of the Mournland found themselves feared, persecuted, and hated by the rest of the world. To individuals who didn't know fully who they were, or even what they were, this oppression was completely uncalled for and immediately soured their view of the world. They realized that if they wanted a quality life, or even a life at all, then their best chance was to band together. And thus, the Skeleton Crime Syndicate was born.
The SCS is known in some of the more populated places throughout the continent, such as Sharn, and is often wanted for crimes like theft, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and tax evasion.
