Sovereign Host
May the Sovereigns be with us always
The Sovereign Host is the primary religion of Eberron, and the only official pantheon. The people of Khorvaire have followed the Sovereigns for thousands of years, and everyone knows the names of the Sovereigns and the Dark Six. Even people who aren't devout might still swear by the Sovereigns or offer a prayer in a moment of crisis.
However, the gods of the pantheon are unusually distant and disconnected, leading some to think that they do not exist. Followers of these gods, called Vassals, vehemently disagree. Devout clerics use their divine magic as concrete evidence.
Culture
The Sovereign Host is far and away a religion of the people. Dozens, if not hundreds, of sects coexist peacefully, each practicing slightly different rituals, or saying prayers with minor variation. In a typical community, a blacksmith may double as a priest of Onatar, and a midwife may speak for Arawei and Boldrei. The religion of the Sovereign Host is primarily an aspect of one's life, not a life within itself. Though, zealots of the faith exist, as do with any religion.
