As you board Valtor's smuggling ship, you notice the telltale signs of a recent storm that had passed through the area. Broken branches and uprooted trees line the shore, and the water is choppy with whitecaps as the ship makes its way through the waves. The crew works diligently to keep the ship steady and on course, but you can feel the constant sway of the vessel as it makes its way towards your destination.

On the second day of your journey, Valtor grows increasingly concerned as the sky darkens and the winds pick up. He steers the ship closer to the shore in an attempt to avoid the worst of the storm, but the waves still crash violently against the hull. Lightning flashes in the distance, and the sound of thunder echoes across the sea.   As night falls, the weather peters out to an insolant drizzle. Shortly after 12am there is an alarm.

Finally, on the third day, you spot the city of Zarash'ak in the distance, but your excitement is quickly dampened when Valtor explains that the ship cannot dock there and that you will need to take a barge up the river for the last leg of the journey. As you disembark and make your way up the river, you can see the towering stilts of the city in the distance, rising up out of the murky marshland like twisted fingers pointing towards the sky.
