Agent Charlie
So, there is less than a week before Ms. Tallen's big Birthday Bash. While Stig has officially leveraged Charlie as an Agent, he is still nervous and far from opening up. Stig has a week to address this and get some meaningful intel about his meeting with the potential new donor at the party.
Post short, little blurbs so we can do a more back and forth as opposed to paragraphs at a time. Then, I can ask for rolls and you can react, etc.
Usually, Cedric gives the orders but post-SOL train mission Greg was present at the Nest and gave a direct order to Stig, "We have to find out everything we possibly can about this meeting at Tallen's birthday gala next weekend. I need to you to really focus on developing this agent you are grooming..." he looks down at a report Kaitlin had produced for him, "Charlie his name is? We need you to flip him and fast!"
Until further orders, turning Charlie will be Stig's primary mission.
He would start by suggesting additional practice, since the performance is so close. If that is accepted, he would try to gain his trust through asking about employment opportunities, since his primary place of employment was poisoned. Basically attempting to get closer to him through whatever seems to work, be it personal, or professionally. He'd pay attention to his mood, since the train mission was, pretty much, foiled. Is Charlie stressed, lack of focus on performance, any window, or opportunity to pick up a way to gain trust. Is the train heist attempt in the paper/major news?
Knowing when practices are at The Ten Torches theatre (and having a lot of no-work-free-time on his hands) Stig goes down there at some point when he could say he was there to see Shells, but just happened to bump into Charlie. Conversation ensues, and Stig suggests extra practice for Ms. Tallen's birthday. Charlie is VERY uncomfortable having spilled the beans and telling Glenn his secret, but he is also a performer at heart and jumps at the chance.
"That's a damn fine idea Glenn! This party could be my big chance to get my name out there and there are going to be tons of powerful theatre folk there. So, I am all-in for as much practice as I can get. What did you have in mind?"
They really haven't given Stig specific direction on long term for Charlie. But based on what he is learning, the King's Lanterns put a heavy emphasis on Spec. Agents acquiring and grooming agents. So, basically build him up, earn his trust (or learn how to exploit him) so that you can leverage him as much as possible. If that is just to get intel, it is what it is. But if you can get him to be a full on "Double Agent" all the better.
At an appropriate moment, Stig would make some kind of inquiry or observation about Charles being on edge. Something like, “Your blah blah blah performance is a bit tense on this overture,” or something.
"Yah...its just this" he would look out into the foyer of the Second Act to make sure none of your flat mates were around before continuing, "I have a real bad feeling...I think something awful is in the works with...umm...my friends that I told you about."
I believe we are both a bit hazy on what precisely went down the session a couple weeks ago, so I am playing it like: he spilled the beans, completely. He is a member of SOL. There are three levels of membership: The Handle, The Hilt and The Blade. He became a member of The Handle about a year ago when some noble approached him after a show at the Ten Torches and wanted him to get him a hook up with one of the dancers. He first applied his diplomacy and when that didn't work, he politely told His Lordship to push off. The guy tried to make his life miserable and he almost lost his job due to pressure he applied to the theatre.
He said he realized the days of Lords and Ladies should have died in The Last War and so he started hanging out with some guys he knows were associated with SOL. He also admitted that while he absolutely loves the idea of freedom and democracy, he is not at all comfortable with some of the more violent and terroristic strategies the organization uses.
Obviously, Glenn would have tried to get closer and he would have said that members of The Handle are not allowed to introduce new members.

What sort of danger do you think your friends might be in?
"THE SIX!" he pales and wavers a bit on his feet. You are afraid he is going to fall so you help him sit down on the couch. "I...you...I didn't...do you..." he swoons and blinks, trying to clear his vision. "They wouldn't hurt one of their own, they aren't like that..." he isn't even speaking to Glenn at this point, but looking down at his shaking hands trying to convince himself.

Stig would do a quick 180. Sensing he’s got Charlie on the ropes, he’d act to be just as frazzled as Charlie. “Charlie, are you okay?!? I didn’t mean…I didn’t think…We should just practice…Who knows who will be at this party? It’s like you said, your big break could be there! Who knows who we may chat up or where the evening will take us!
He’s more trying to walk him into spilling the beans again. Not sure if that dialog would do it, but the soft shoulder of understanding and concern would be waggled infromt of Charlie, hoping he’ll confide his secrets.
Charlie takes a deep, shuddering breath. "Fuck Glenn, I don't need this! I told those guys, I am a talker. You need a politician, a hand shaker, someone to rouse up the commoners, I am your man. You want someone to meet some fat cat from a Draonmark House at a party and convince him to give us a bunch of money, that is my gig." He looks at Glenn very seriously, "But those are some scary motherfuckers, Glenn. I don't need you reminding me of that!"
He lets out a nervous chuckle as he picks up his lute. "Yah, enough SOL shit for now. Let's practice! After next weekend you and I are going to be beating off the offers, am I right?"
Glen would make a mood lightening crack, “Although…maybe it’ll be some smoking hot Dragonmark, and you’ll have to seduce it out of her…(elbow, wink, nudge) alright sorry, sorry, I’m done now! Let’s fucking rock!”
One to lighten the mood, but two, he may give more info about the mark.
After that, Glen would get the information he gained to Cedric, Greg, or whomever he’s supposed to report to, at the Nest.
"Ha! If only. He is supposed to be some fatass rolly-polly Kundarak dwarf!" He does an Angus Young windmill strum, "Rock on in deed good fellow!"
