Jean d'Vol
At first glance, Jean looks like any other elf – but look closer and you’ll notice the too pale skin, the icy blue eyes and the fact that he doesn’t breathe.
Jean was one of a small group of Vol farseers that foresaw the fate of their house and decided to put themselves into ‘hibernation’ so they would be available to help the world when the draconic prophecies needed them.
Jean is not actually undead, he is deathless. While traditional undead are infused with the essence of Mabar, making them evil, deathless are infused with the essence of Irian, which makes them naturally good. This is very strange, considering that bearers of the Vol dragonmark traditionally use the energies of Mabar for many of their spells.
Jean was the leading scholar on the Worm that Waits, the mysterious 7th daelkyr that is imprisoned in Khyber.
