Rhapsody Smyth
Rhapsody doesn’t remember much of her early life and considers this to be a blessing. She was adopted very young from an orphanage in Sharn by a kindly middle-aged couple with only one child of their own.
Eager to palm off a nameless red toddler with horns sprouting, the orphanage waived the usual adoption fee and didn’t care to ask many questions. This was no matter as the couple had no prejudices against Tieflings and were smitten with her smile. They named her Rhapsody because of her zest for life and took her to the small Breland farm that was their home and life’s work to meet her new sister and begin afresh.
Rhapsody grew up on the farm in a whirlwind of daily chores, competitive games with her sister and informal training from her father who was once a soldier. Though he only intended to teach his girls basic training and self-defense they both grasped his lessons with both hands and relished the strength in their bodies and new abilities with which to one-up each other. This would have always been her life had Rhapsody not gone to the market on her 21st birthday where the course of her life was altered beyond her control.
