Coronation of King Kaius III of Karrnath

After Regent Moranna was forced out of power due to the disastrous events of 991^YK King Kaius III is coronated.

For nearly a decade, Karrnath had engaged in only minor battles against Aundair, Thrane, and Cyre, and smallscale raids in the Eldeen Reaches, Breland, and the Talenta Plains. The warlords, though depleted after nearly a century of war, never ceased agitating for glorious conquest and a restoration of honor.   Regent Moranna proved to be a steady, conservative, and effective ruler during much of her reign. Over time, however, she seemed to change for the worse. Perhaps it was a response to the pressures of constant war, but she evolved into a creature bent on boosting her own power, increasingly paranoid about her enemies, internal and external. Her instability lead to two enormous blunders in 991^{YK[/sup}. The assault on Sharn, and the Mror Holds Campaign left her reputation in tatters and her generals threatening rebellion, Regent Moranna could no longer maintain power.   Once again in Karrnath's hour of need, a new monarch was brought from hiding, this time ready to assume the throne. It took some time to organize a proper coronation, but in 992, King Kaius III's rule of Karrnath's began. The new king displayed remarkable diplomatic acumen by quickly making reparations and restoring ties with the Mror Holds.}
