Talons of Tiamat
The Talons of Tiamat are the cult that worship the dark forces of the Daughter of Khyber, Tiamat. Made up of Humanoids, fiends and dragons they seek to release not only beings from the underground realm but Tiamat her self. Most practice in secret as the cult is illegal in all of the Five Nations.
Structure
Not much is known about The Talons of Tiamat's organization structure. Many of the cultist operate in secret cells independently of each other.
Culture
A large number of the cultists aren't mad but ruthless and dangerous, and they turn towards forces society shuns for personal power. They have been lead astray by whisperings from the underground realm. A great many followers of Tiamat are insane, holding strange beliefs as aberrations being beautiful creatures that will reward them for their devotion.
Public Agenda
The general population believes the Talons of Tiamat to be extremist cultist who worship demons, believing most of them to be insane.
Most high ranking officials know better, that the soul purpose of the Talons of Tiamat is to raise Tiamat from her prison and begin a second age of Demons.
History
The cult has existed since the beginning of time in one form or another. There have always been those who chose to worship Tiamat in order to gain power or in hopes of some dark promise fulfilled.
Worship of Tiamat are strongest in the western regions of Khorvaire, especially the Shadow Marches. These regions suffered most during the Daelkyr War, and bear the greatest scars from that ancient conflict, physically and psychologically.
