Atub the Unbound

Atub is the librarian at Arcanix. Formerly of the Ghaash'kala, she left her clan in search of tomes for enlightenment and was waylaid by a companion that had been cursed. She sought out the mages of Arcanix and traded four years of her life as the former librarian's (Tome Fairfield/ tiefling) assistant. When Tome died of mysterious causes, Atub accepted the role. Now, nearly forty years later, the orc has become a staple of the university for new or returning students. She uses magic mouth spells cast on each of the desks and most bookshelves to chastise visitors that are too loud, and a special scroll imbued with divination magic to keep track of overdue books.
Atub also oversees the museum at the university. She knows that the items are replicas, and knows the location of the actual artifacts- though she is notoriously tight-lipped about their whereabouts for obvious reasons. Though incredibly capable as a librarian, Atud does not have access to each Tower's special libraries, as the Mosaic Committee felt that much information in one creature's hands would be too much.
