Nightshade's

An apothecary dealing in exotic herbs and salves, Nightshade is also a tavern specializing in lightly poisoned beverages.
The substances sold here are mildly addictive, but patrons would insist that they frequent this establishment for the "experience". While the mild effects of the magical lights and sounds do little for the sober patrons (of which there are few) they are mesmerizing for those that have consumed a bit of the gnome's intoxicants. Though it may be an exciting experience for Upper City socialites to enjoy, it is far more likely to be the gateway drug that eventually leads to the dreamlily and dragon's blood of the Lower Wards.

In Our Story:

Qualen, the father of Glittergem Boondiggles, was seen here not too long ago, according to Nightshade. His addiction has only gotten worse as of late, and it appears that in his addled state he has gained the attention of The Trust of Zilargo.

Uses:

Nightshade is one of only a few successful business owners dealing in vice to avoid becoming a part of the war between the Boromar Crime Family and Cavallah's Daask cell in the city. As such, he could be considered neutral territory if the gangs were to meet.
Nightshade is one of the more proficient alchemists in the city, and a worthy instructor for one learning the craft.
