Saidan Boromar

Saidan Boromar is the current patriarch of the family, though much of the day-to-day operations have been delegated to his daughter Ilsa Boromar. He grew up in Lower Dura and worked as a thief and assassin there before taking over the organization. Though once a fiery youth, he has tempered in his old age. He is keenly aware of what is happening in Callestan, maybe more th an Ilsa is aware, but he is more interested in the family’s interests in Middle and Upper Sharn. He sees Daask as a passing fad, one that will redraw a few borders before settling into normalcy. His long-term goal for his family is to solidify the gains they have made in the past few generations and propel his family into the "established gentry".

Saidan Boromar as a Patron

Saidan is the patriarch of the Boromar Crime Family. As a mob boss, Saidan is interested in solidifying his empire and using his position in society as a weapon against his enemies.

Young Saidan

As a youth in Callestan before The Last War, Saidan was used to the common people of Sharn disregarding him. His father, Grollo, was a first generation immigrant from the Talenta Plains, and ran the Boromar Gang out of the back of his old bookshop in Callestan. In the beginning, the Boromar Gang was in all types of business: everything from murders to mugging. Much of the early years were bloody for the fledgling group. Saidan learned the ropes in this gruesome environment, first as an assassin before plying his trade as a burglar.   Grollo was killed when Saidan was 52, when the Boromar Gang was just beginning to gain prominence. Saidan realized early on that most of the bloodletting that his family had suffered (losing both of his brothers) was due to the family constantly crossing into other gangs' revenue streams. By guiding the family into specializing in burgalry, drugs, and extortion Saidan ended the inter-gang war overnight- and the Boromar Crime Family was born.
