Aundair
Aundair and Thrane were largely untouched by the influence of Galather or Levistus. The damage that was done to the other houses has made these two nations the most powerful in the world, and they’re not shy about throwing that weight around – which has resulted in strong antipathy between the two.
For Aundair, the primary impact of the rise and fall of Levistus has been that the arcane colleges of Arcanix and the University of Wynarn are the last bastions of arcane study in human nations. This has made admission to those institutions very competitive over the past twenty years, and in order to protect their newfound monopoly, the Aundairans have not been quick to help other nations rebuild their lost institutions.
This has not left the world without arcanists, of course. But it has resulted in the rise of new colleges of magic, with new schools of thought and new ideas. A lot of innovation and dangerous experimentation.
